Spay/Neuter

Adoption Process

We want to find the perfect match for you and also for the dogs in our care.  The adoption process includes detailed application, a home inspection, introduction of the new dog with any current pets and a small adoption fee.

About the Dog

How much do you know about the dog I may want to adopt?

If the animal is an owner surrender, we do our best to get as much information as possible about the animal from the owner. If the dog comes from local animal control, we try to evaluate the dog and gain as much information as possible regarding the dog's behaviors and general health. We will always disclose everything we know about an dog prior to adopting them out. However, please know that dogs can be unpredictable and sometimes the behaviors they exhibit in the foster home will be different than what you see at at your home.

Compatibility

How do I find out if I am compatible with the dog?

We encourage you to come and visit a dog you might like to adopt. You can spend one-on-one time with the dog in at an adoption event or in a foster home.  If you have other pets at home, you can also bring your pet(s) to see if they will get along with the dog you are thinking of adopting. Once you take an animal home we ask that you contact us right away so we can talk with you about any problems if they occur.  If you decide you need to return the dog, please contact us immediately.
