Cher and Pauline, two extraordinary individuals, were the catalysts behind the creation of our foundation. Their journey began with a common bond - a shared passion for helping animals in need.

Both Cher and Pauline had devoted countless hours to volunteering in the world of animal rescue. They were no strangers to the tireless work, the late nights, and the dedication required to provide a safe haven for dogs in need. It was during one fateful weekend, while cleaning a dog sanctuary, that the seeds of inspiration were sown. As they toiled away, their realization struck them like a lightning bolt: senior dogs, those who had given their hearts and loyalty for years, were often the ones left behind, abandoned in shelters, and at risk of euthanasia.

The poignant truth was that these older canines, despite their wisdom and unwavering devotion, were often overlooked by those seeking to adopt a new furry family member. Cher and Pauline couldn't bear to see these loyal companions discarded or forgotten, knowing that they had so much love left to give.

With this newfound purpose, Cher and Pauline decided to take matters into their own hands. They envisioned a sanctuary where senior and medical dogs, those most at risk of euthanasia, would find a second chance at happiness. Thus, Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary (CTSS) was born.

Our mission is clear and unwavering: to create a close-knit community of fosters, volunteers, and medical supporters, all dedicated to providing love and care to senior and medically challenged dogs.
